ENDO-PERIO LESIONS AND THERE MANAGEMENT

Pulpal and Periodontal tissues have close embryonic, anatomic and functional inter relationship. Theoretically, pathologic charges in one tissue can affect the other. In most cases, differentiating between endodontic and periodontal lesions in relatively simple. However, diagnosis of some cases can be difficult, time consuming and confusing, and to ensure proper diagnosis of endodontic and periodontal lesions, a series of tests is required. The simultaneous existence of pulpal problems and inflammatory periodontal disease can complicate diagnosis and treatment planning and affect the sequence of care to be performed. This is particularly true for patients with advanced periodontitis, tooth loss and pulpal disease.
